Bunee Tomlinson (Director)
The awards keep coming in for Bunee, starting with a "Best Director" Award at Bare Bones International Film Festival. His short film, "Friends," won Best U.S. Narrative at the Lovett School High School Film Festival in Atlanta. "Play for Me," a short film made in Seattle with Bunee doing double duty as Director of Photography and Editor, earned him an "Outstanding Cinematography" award at Sierra Canyon Film Festival in Los Angeles. "Friends" returned to the winners circle at Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita.
After an extensive fundraising campaign, the collaborative short film, "No One Knows," was completed in August. The film is now being submitted to numerous film festivals. This was his biggest directorial project to date. The filmmakers hope to raise child abuse social awareness with this film. He is also involved in other social causes with film work in the local community.
When not working on his own films and student schedule at The Oklahoma Film Institute at Oklahoma City Community College, Bunee managed to work as a production assistant on FOX's "American Idol" Season 12, and on the Food Network's show "Health Inspectors," where he also contributed some camera work on a recently aired episode. He also did PA duty on the national AT&T commercial recently shown, as well as the feature film, THE JOGGER, starring Derek Philips from NBC's "Friday Night Lights" and directed by Casey Twenter and Jeff Robinson. His unlimited energy and love of collaborating with other talented artists keep him active in the film community.
